I use mine for two e-bikes also and have no issues. I can't fold it up because of the ladder but that's okay we don't with the bikes on there anyway.

I use the hitch receiver for a Swagman bicycle rack for 2 bikes with a 12" hitch extender and hitch anti-rattle hitch stabilizer.

We use ours

We carry a Rackstars bike rack (heavy) and two ebikes, no issues. I used an extension for a while, easier, no issues. Label says receiver (2") is good for 300 lbs. the rack and bikes are probably 175 lbs. I took out the extension just because I was uneasy about the lever arm distance. My receiver is welded really securely from the factory. Without the extension, it is easier to mount the bikes if you loosen the handle bars to parallel the bike frame.

Regarding Kayaks we faced the problem of how to carry a Kayak a couple of years ago and ended buying a Sea Eagle inflatable 12' Kayak. The Sea Eagle comes with a carrying bag and all the accessories and fits easily in the front storage compartment. Yes, you're right about the rear hitch!

As it turns out, it is actually a 1 1/4” hitch (sorry, I guesstimated incorrectly before) with a load capacity of 150 lbs. Since I have to use an extension to clear the fiberglass cap on my rig, the capacity is reduced to 75 lbs. So a 30 lb bike carrier and two 30 lb bikes would just be asking for trouble. Just wondered if someone had found clever use other than as a bicycle carrier.
