2021 2331CK Heater Issue

Propane Furnace starts but trips 15 AMP resettable fuse and shuts down. Started last night, the coldest night we have used it (low 20s). Any thoughts?

Temp swap in a non resetting fuse and give that a try... those Black self resetting fuses are prone to being picky

Tried a non resettable 15 amp and it blew within a couple minutes.

I’d try a 20a fuse to see if it will get you warmed up.

On my unit I found they had pulled power from same circuit to the iN·Command gateway that controls the heat pump and furnace. I never had a problem running both but the 15a circuit breaker was intended just for the furnace. Since the circuit breaker is known for problems, I changed the wiring. Gateway had power directly from fuse box not being used. It now runs on that.

In mine I accidentally discovered the furnace fuse also runs the water heater. Cold showers are really motivating to figuring it out. Lol

Shorted wire

The thermostat wire running from furance to the gateway up in rear AC was chafed and shorted against metal. Found in basement, repaired and seams to be working normally.

Glad you found it. Is that the really small telephone looking wire?

Helpful, thanks for posting your resolution. Many times people ask about an issue and never post what fixed it. As an aside, I would still replace the resettable fuse with a regular 15 amp. As stated earlier, it is a noted issue. Our dealer replaces them prior to PDI. I assume your unit is the 3231CK? We have the 3230CK. Great floor plan (at least for us).

Yup there are two BLUE wires that run from furnace control module board up to Zone 1 Gateway.. Plus and minus signal to tell furnace to turn on or off..

great find and repair
