Awning

We have a 2016 352RL. Our problem is that the awning only covers about half of our door. so when it rains, the awning is not completely covering the door and we get rain inside. It is nice to have the door open when it rains, as it helps cool off the trailer. Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop the rain from coming in?
Thanks for your help.
Les

I thought I had a better picture - but when you say the awning only covered half of the door - that is not correct. The awning covers you complete door but it ends abruptly just past the door (like in my pic) and that is where you get wet. I have had RVs in the past that had the door more centered under the awning. That is not the case with my Montana.

The awning fabric does not cover the door.

Our awning is located the same as MikenDebbie’s, where technically it’s covering the door but the abrupt end of the fabric at the very edge of the door dumps rain on our steps. I thought this was a terrible design so I can’t imagine having it end halfway over the door. I don’t have any suggestions but I can commiserate in the frustration of it that you’re not alone. Perhaps someone else has figured out a fix for it.

Also, due to the location of it and the height difference between this awning and the one on the slide (to the left of the door and positioned lower) it creates a perfect gap for not only rain but the sun to glare down on us while sitting under the larger awning. We’ve somewhat fixed that by bending the awning arm down to close the gap a little. It doesn’t help with rain though. I’m sure someone will have some help.

That's so odd. I wounder if someone did a modification? As you can see below it shows the awning covering the door.

When the dining slide is right next to the door there just isn’t enough real estate for the awning to cover the door properly. Add to that slide toppers and they have to mount the topper back so that the front edge of the topper just barely covers the slide roof. When the awning arm passes the topper arm, there is only about half an inch clearance. Just the way it is.
