Splendide Washer winterizing?
My old washer in the RV was a Whirlpool and you winterized it by running a short warm water cycle while you have the air compressor on to blow out the lines and internals of the washer. Then you but 1/2 quart of RV antifreeze into the drum and run a drain and spin cycle, canceling each cycle a few minutes into the run.
Now I have a Spendide washer and their instructions mention nothing about blowing the lines out with a compress, just the 1/2 quart of antifreeze in the drum with a spin and drain cycle. They have optional instructions for anyone who runs antifreeze completely throughout the RV plumbing, but I don't do that since Keystone fully supports either the blowout method or the antifreeze everywhere method.
Anyone worked out the best Spendide washer winterizing method .
Any please don't say spend the winters in Florida, Arizona, etc.

I have always done winterizing in the old-fashioned conservative way. We use the pink stuff for everything. Water lines, Spendide and our dishwasher. It takes about 4 gallons or $10 and we have not had a problem the last 10-12 years. The Splendide takes about 3/4 to a gallon, we cycle hot until pink in the drum, cycle cold until pink in the drum, then spin the pink out. It has never failed us.

I always winterize our Splendide using antifreeze. But I don’t see that blowing out the lines would be any different between the two brands. As long as you have all the water out of the supply lines, and antifreeze in the washer pump and P trap you should be good. But I would probably use a little more than half a quart.

this method is one of the ones that Keystone endorses. The other option that they use at the factory and all their dealers use when they winterize is blowing the lines out and pink stuff in the drains, including spinning the pink stuff out of the washer. I did get a note back from Spendide tech support and they fully approve the optional method in their owners manual using compressed air on cycle '3', then pink stuff in the drum.

I got 2 official responses today from authorities and I thought I pass them along. First I had a phone conversation with the service manager at my RV dealer who I bought the washer dryer from. They install quite a few Spendide W/D; I've seen them on pallets in their warehouse. He said they always blow out the complete water system including the washing machine regardless of brand. after a few minutes of not hearing water coming into the machine they cancel and drain the washer. That's what I did with the Whirlpool and they said to continue to do the same with Slendide. Next when you pour pink stuff in the sinks dump a quart in the washer drum and do the spin and drain cycle.
Secondly, I got a reply email from Slendide tech support and they said, "I prefer the Optional Winterization Instructions using cycle 3 even with compressed air". The instructions he was referring to are below:
