Lippert Leveling

New to forum and had a quick question
When batteries are dead can you still level by overriding. We’ve only owned since summer but while taking delivery the guy overrode somehow and just told us to goggle how it. Never have found how. Thanks

Don't have autolevel, but am pretty sure you need batteries. I think the override you saw was doing a manual level WITH the jacks, so you need power from somewhere.

We need to know what make and model of Montana you have. Hydralic can be overriden with a drill and reversed bit, have no idea what to do with electric.

I agree. There was a lot going on and I was pretty overwhelmed. I do remember the batteries were really low. Around 12v. But he did use the hydraulic system.
We have a 2021 Montana 3761FL

I am seriously considering a solar panel to keep a battery change all the time. The rig is already set up to take solar.

Try connecting your 7 way cable with your truck running (2016, F350, you have to press the brake pedal once to activate the relay to send 12vdc down the wire for charging the rv battery). Then try the hydraulic system.

If you have jumper cables, you can connect them directly from the truck to the house battery.

If you are hitching, I have dual batteries in the truck. While the truck is running, carefully disconnect and remove one battery. Wrap the positive cable to prevent it shorting to the body of the truck. Take this battery and operate your hydraulic system. Put everything back when you are done.
Take the bad battery to the auto parts store for testing.
If you boondock a lot think about upgrading to lithium batteries.
