Jwm70 HDMI ARC

We have a Jensen JWM70 DVD/Radio unit. I’m looking for ideas to keep the HDMI cable plugged into the unit. Ours only allows about 2/3 of the connector to be inserted. You have to hold the cable in place to make the TV connection to work. Since our rig is 3 years old, it’s out of warranty. We have rarely used the unit. However we can borrow DVDs and would like to use it.

We had the same issue, called the manufacturer gave them the mod. and ser. #, and replaced it with the OEM equipment so as not to have to rewire anything, $200.00

Kyle, did they charge you $200 for the new unit or just replace it?

We bought a Blue Ray player. Backward compatible CD, DVD, Blue Ray.
We had a nice stack to the left of the TV,
Blue Ray, Nintendo, Dish Wally.
Did some testing and found ALL of them responded to the remote controls while INSIDE the cabinet. Moved the whole lot inside the cabinet and rearranged all the wiring. Nice clean counter top now. No more setup/take down on moving day.

Yes we had to pay for it after 3 + years of use, but I did not have to rewire anything.
