Outlet issue
Hi, I have a 2018 montana high country 379rd.
The rear wall with the tv, those three outlets don’t work and everything else in the fifth wheel including the radio and fireplace do work. Has this happened to anyone?

It has not happened to me - but I think there is a junction box under the slide to check first.

Would that affect the back wall that’s not on a slide?

Probably not. Your saying the fixed wall AC isn't working but the slide AC is working?

The rest all isn’t working. There are no A/C’s on the slides on either side. Just the three on the back/rear wall of the 5th wheel are not working.

I would ensure the breaker is working. Check the positive wire to and from the breaker and ensure the ground wire is tight.

I checked all the fuses. Are you referring to the gfi breakers on the panel?

The 120V AC uses circuit breakers (CB) not fuses. The CBs can trip ever so slightly that it isn't obvious.
Is there a GFCI on that back wall? I wouldn't think so, but I am not familiar with your model.
Those RV outlets are notorious for losing contact with the wires. If there is 120V at the CB, then check each of the outlets for incoming (or even outgoing) voltage.
Are the three "dead" outlets the only ones on the circuit? There is no wiring diagram so you have to flip breakers and see what turns off.

No GCFI on the back wall. I’ve reset the breakers a few times.just those three dead outlets only… nothing else.
I’m going to replace all three outlets.
Also, they did work and now I’m in a covered storage facility that supplies a 120 outlet I’m plugged into.
Is it possible they’d simply isn’t enough power?

I assume you are using a 50 to 15/20 adapter to plug in to the storage outlet. You may have a bad adapter causing loss of one hot leg to the trailer. If you have a voltmeter, unplug your power cord from the back of the trailer and make sure you have 120 vac on both hot pins on the cord connector.

Ok I’ll give that a try. The three plugs I speak of initially worked in storage. I had one of those bug repellers plugged in and went back to the storage area a week later and they’d was no power to those three.

If you have 120 vac on both pins of that cord connector, open up your breaker panel and check for 120 vac on all the circuit breakers. Not common, but circuit breakers do fail. No reason a bad bug repeller would do anything more than trip a breaker, but strange things do happen.
If you have 120 on all the breakers but no voltage at the outlets, then the real fun starts trying to find the break. Those 3 may be on their own circuit. But they could also be at the end of a daisy chain with other outlets. When I first got my Montana I had a problem with the rear outlets, living room slide outlet, and the fridge (in another slide) sometimes working, sometimes not. Long story but finally determined the wire to those was a daisy chain from the breaker to my ceiling fan switch to the outlets to the fridge. BUT, the factory wiring person had connected the daisy chain to the load side of the fan switch rather than the line side. So fan on and everything worked. Fan off and none of those worked. Dealer corrected it under warranty. So don’t be surprised at anything you might find.

The bug repeller works in all other outlets except for the three on the back wall. Thanks for the tips. Next time I go back I’ll turn the fan on and go from there.
