I took a few screws off my coroplast underneath the convenience center so i could install more foam to the pipes but this is just an option. I wanted to reach a far as i could so as to quite the pipes going to the shower on account of the hammering i was getting. All is quite now. Good luck. P.S. don't over tighten the fittings. Snug is enough.

Looks like I need to remove the handles for the tank valve controls to get it out, correct?

This is what you are going to see when the white plastic panel is removed from the area behind the convenience center.

No, don't do anything in the convenience center. Remove the back wall panel of the pass through / basement area to access the back side of the convenience center where the pump is located.

Ok, I think I got it. 💡I’ll have to go up to RV and check it out, when it’s not 102 outside. Actually, I’m taking it to Discount tire tomorrow so I can do it then. Thanks everyone for the help.

Ya, I found mine right where everyone is saying and it is right there in the open once you take the back panel off. Super easy, you DON'T need to do anything inside the "convenience center" itself.
Looking forward to replacing my original pump with the new stuff on order!
Gotta say, unless you're a plumber, that piping on the back side is a real puzzle. T fittings, 90s, valves, pipes going everywhere...

Not going to swap out the current pump just yet but will order one to keep on rig for back up. Going to try to quiet down the one I have.

Don't let this little job intimidate you. Replace the old pump and save it for an emergency. If you want your pump to be more quite then you need to replace the old pump along with adding the quite kit. Accessing the water pump is half the job. If i am going to be looking at the old pump you can bet i would be replacing it. Good luck.

Yup, after thinking about it I was thinking about doing just what you suggested. You just made my decision easy. Thanks!

So the new Shur Flo pump arrived today...very nice! Already have the "silencing kit" (aka new hoses) and the screen filter should arrive tomorrow.
However, I read on the pump instruction pamphlet that this pump is a "bypass" pump (whatever that means) and therefore does not benefit from the accumulator.
Guess I will return if that's the case...anyone have experience with whether or not this device is helpful?
Thanks,

Here is some info on the"bypass" pump.
https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/f...print/true.cfm
I would look for a pump that has around 55psi and 3 gallons per minute.

If you have the shur-flow 4008-101-e65 or a65 which is same pump then it is not a rapid cycling pump. This is what most people use to replace their factory pump. It has 55psi and 3 gpm. I would send back the accumulator tank before i would the pump.

Ya, I meant that I would return the accumulator, NOT the pump.
That is the pump I purchased and look forward to installing, but will return the accumulator since it apparently is not needed.
