Tire Preasure
Just bought a new 2023 Montana HC 335BH.
The tires run at 110PSI cold. I use a aftemarket TPM system and need to set the high PSI alert. What is a good "High" alert preasure mark I should set with these tires? Previous camper I owned had 80 PSI cold so significantly different with this one. Looking for input.

I think I have mine set for 130 degrees or so. I am less concerned about high pressure than low pressure.

Keep them at 110 pounds and watch for low pressure. High pressure won’t hurt low pressure will. The higher the pressure the easier they will roll and less heat they will build up because the sides flex less.

I set my low pressure warning at 100 psi and the high at 135 psi.

I have my low set at 100#, and use the default high pressure that is 158#, this with the TST 507 system.

I believe my tpms high temp is set to 158 degrees. (thats default) I would just monitor and if you see one tire a lot higher than others like 30 - 40 degrees higher you may have a problem with that wheel. your tires will show different temperatures depending if its in direct sunlight could be 10 degrees or so from one side to the other.

Our low pressure is set to 100 psi and I believe my hi pressure is set at 135 psi.
The default hi temp is set at 156 degrees on the TST system that came with our rig. It is normal for tire temps to run 50 degrees above ambient and with summer temps at 112 between Albuquerque and Amarillo our hi temp alarm went off on one of our trips. We were near Tucumcari and there was a Loves we could pull off into to cool off. Researching showed the tires wouldn’t be dangerously hot until reached quite a bit higher temps. Various sources said tires would not start having problems until they got 180-190 degrees or more.
I reset my hi -temp to 165 degrees after this trip just to prevent the alarm from going off, but, when my temps start getting above 150 degrees I am definitely watching closel We’ve run into similar hi ambient temps and had tire temps of 158 degrees again, but, that’s the highest we’ve seen. We have Sailun g-rated tires on our 2022 3121 rl

Why run your tires at 110 psi? You are setting your tire pressure too high. I have tires that can run at 110 psi but I set mine at 80 psi. The manufacture of the tires publishes load tables and after weighing my trailer I found I only need 80 psi to safely handle my weight. If you run pressures too high you are putting more stress on the trailer
My truck has tires with a max 80 psi but the door sticker list I only have my tires at 65 psi. When I weighed my rig I found I should keep 65 psi in the front tirs but 80 psi in the rear tires when towing. When I am not towing or carrying a load I lower my rear tires to 50 psi (per load tables. If I kept 80 psi in all tires it would be like running with steel wheels. The pressure on the side of the tires is the MAX pressure if you are carrying the MAX load as listed on the side of the tire. Also if you run too high of a pressure you are driving on the center of the tire and not on a full footprint.

Don't want to start issues, but if you're only going to run 80 psi in a G rated tire, why spend the extra money, just run E rated tires at 80 psi?

The carry capacity will be the same for the two tires if they are the same size.
