What model are they on? Unless it is one of the small light HCs - recommend stick with G rated rubber.

The major difference between 16" LRF ST tires and LRG ST tires is construction. The majority of the LRF tires are polyester and the LRG are all steel. The next obstical is tire pressure. You'll find that most manufactrers of the all steel tires will have a caviet in their asdvertisement warning that high load capacity wheels are required.
LRF MAX PSI = 95
LRG MAX PSI = 110

According to MT specs, the shipping weight is 13906lbs. After you add your stuff, it will be at +15000lbs. I'd be frustrated that MT put barely adequate tires on the unit. Look also at the tire brand. If it's Castle Rock you might want to go with a LR G tire if your wheels are rated at 110psi.

Ours came with Rainier F Tires. The rating might have been OK for the weight of our trailer but the Rainiers are a brand known for many failures.
What brand are your tires? That is the bigger issue. Rainier, Tire King, Castle Rock, and several other off-brand names, are not brands I would have a lot of confidence in. Many do just fine with the OEM tires but many do not. Damage from a blow out is very expensive and without a quality tire the odds are against you. Within the first year I changed ours to Sailun G tires. Sailun or Carlisle tires would be a good choice. Upgrade to the G's for your own peace of mind...it's cheap insurance.

You know, tires on our trailers are only required to support the vehicle certified GAWRs. Add 10% for the RVIA recommendation and you have the bottom line requirement. Anything above that is considered load capacity reserves.

Keystone likes to muddy the waters by advertising the trailer’s shipping weight. It’s not an official weight. It’s just for that shipment. To double check their numbers; get the trailer’s published cargo capacity from the cargo label and add it to the shipping weight. If the numbers equal the trailer’s GVWR the shipping weight is a true UVW. It gets muddy when they do not match.
FMVSS states that the vehicle manufacturer will use the vehicle UVW to establish cargo capacity. Shipping weight may be much less than UVW because the vehicle may leave the factory without full propane tanks. Those items are clearly defined in the regulations as part of the trailer’s UVW.
When you find and read the definition for curb weight you will see it’s not applicable with RV trailers. It’s an automotive term where the measured weights differ.

While not a Montana, our SOB left the Factory almost 1000 pounds heavier than the advertised brochure weight. So it just goes to show that those brochure weights shouldn't be used for anything.

Sounds like gvwr is the number to be concerned with. Then minus pin weight which is a moving target according to loading. This may be a stretch but in the event of a blowout, three tires are now carrying the load designed for four tires.

Since the 383 comes with 3 axles and 6 tires the load on each tire is reduced quite a bit. Load range F tires should be enough.

I have a 2020 381TH. I am going with G tires this fall. From what I have found, the rims can take 110 psi, have not pulled on to verify. If the rims are only rated for 95 psi, I have to decide what to do.

When I replaced my Sailuns last month, I ended up with an extra tire since FedEx lost one, then found it later (long story). I plan to replace my spare even though it has never been used and is only 2 years old. The spare that shipped with mine is an LRF tire I just noticed, but the rig states 110 PSI on the sticker even for the spare. Is that LRF only supposed to be 95 PSI? When I pull it to get replaced, I plan to check the rim for a stamp of max psi rating. I guess Keystone saves a buck or two by putting cheap spares on.
If it's not a 110 PSI rim, does anyone know where I can get a matching wheel for the 2019 3791RD? I've looked on Treddit, but I don't see an exact match.

What brand are they? That should tell you whether they are potential China Bombs or not.

Aha, I checked the specs but didn't realize it was a three-axle trailer. Knowing that now, the F-rated tires are probably okay (unless they're one of the bad brands).

Many, many threads on this issue.
Trailer Kings - not good.
Sailun, Goodyear Endurance, Carlisle - good.
Also, do yourself a favor and upgrade to G tires.

The simplest solution is to add a load range to the vehicle's certified designated size and insure the valve stems and wheels can support any higher PSI values.
Your designated size is ST235/80R16. They are manufacture with increased load ranges LRF & LRG.
Note: The GY Endurance & Maxxis tires in LRE only provide 3420# of load capacity. They do not qualify to replace your TK tires.
