Roller marks in bedroom flooring?

I have two deep gouge marks in my bedroom flooring from the slide rollers. Is there a remedy to correct this, i.e. slide adjustment? Can a portion of the flooring me fixed without pulling it all out? I have a repairman telling me "It's just a bad design and it will occur again? This should not be happening on my 2019 rig. I tried using the search feature first and could not find anything comparing to my issue.

There are a lot of reports and discussion about this problem. There was a recent thread where a member did a mod to prevent this. I'm trying to find the post. He basically removed the mattress, top plywood and bottom plywood in storage and installed soft upgraded rollers.

Perhaps another member can help to find that thread. I've been considering the upgrade myself.

Found it

We had the same problem and it tore a large hole in the flooring in the bedroom! Luckily it was covered by Keystone under the warranty, but they didn't want to repair the flooring. I called Keystone and WE came to a agreement that they should fix it. They replaced the entire flooring in the bedroom cause I did NOT want a patch job.
Seem like two of the rollers came loose and when the bolts fell out the ends slipped and came of the runners which in turn tore the flooring. They fixed everything so now I ck the bolts under the bed when it is extended out to make sure they are all tight.
Hope this was helpful!!

The original rollers are too small and hard, and may be dragging rather than spinning. You could perhaps do a DIY repair by installed larger, softer wheels.

It's going in on June 10th for the bedroom floor to be repaired. Mike Thompson RV has an outside company that will come in and do the repair. My buddy used them and evidently they have a very talented gal that cut out and patched the floor to their rig and you cannot even see where the repair was made. Fingers crossed.

They make thin strip type pads that you can put under the slide rollers to protect the floor. You'll have to research to find them, I don't know who makes them.

Slide slickers.

Make your own. Home depot, Lowe's, Menards. $2 each.

Cut it in half, cut off the curved part. Now you have two 4"x24".
Put them under your bed rollers and/or
Place them at each end and in the middle of the slide on the floor.
Even if you do not now have issues with this I strongly recommend using these on any slides to prevent it from happening to you. It's just a matter of time. One staple, nail or piece of grit and it will damage your floor.
Always sweep or vacuum your floor before retracting the slide.

Thank you Daryles & CAT320. Exactly what I plan on doing or the rollers will just damage the new flooring when it sits. Thank you guys.

I used one of those hard office chair protectors and cut it into strips. Works like a champ.
