2012 Alpine Water Heater

A friend recently purchased a 2012 Alpine. The hot water heater is electric or propane. He has been running it on propane because he can't find the electric switch for the heater. We do have the outside switch on. Does anyone have an Alpine and able to tell me where this switch is hidden? On my Montana, the propane and electric switch are side by side in hallway. His propane switch is there but not electric switch.

Thanks and hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Are you sure his works both ways. I have a friend with a Class A who's water heater only works on propane.

Mine is an older unit but the switch in the hallway only controls the propane. The switch outside controls the electric. If both switches are on you are using both, great for faster recovery of depleted hot water. Is it possible he is running both and doesn't know it? Jim

My heater is same model number as his so I'm sure it is a dual system. If my switch is on outside, the electric element does not kick on until I turn on the electrical switch inside next to propane switch. He has had his propane off and the water has gotten cold. The switch outside is turned on. I'm sure there is a switch someplace. People with SOBS have reported finding there's in the kitchen, bathroom and washer/dryer area. So far, we have struck out on those places.

We only discuss Montana's here. There are forums for other Keystone brands. Therefore this topic is now locked.
