We will use colored pencils to color pumpkins on a 12x12 piece of light-colored wood with a stenciled outline. No drawing skills needed! We will also glue a sunflower on the finished piece for added 3D dimension. It’s easy. It’s fun.
Supplies need for you to bring to class
*Colored pencils – Any brand is acceptable. I used PrismaColor brand. Derwent and Faber Cashel are other professional brands. Crayola brand will work. The more color choices the better! I used 3 shades of grey, 3 shades of green, 3 shades of orange, 3 shades of brown, (a light, medium, and dark of each). Also used a light pink/peach, dark yellow, cream/pale yellow, and Terra Cotta/reddish brown. (You can make your pumpkins any color, just have 3 shades of that color.)
*Pencil sharpener
*Scrap paper to test colors on
*Bring your own cocktail of choice. Yes, it helps the creative process. (That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!)
*Bring your phone to download a picture of the project to use as a reference
Optional - You can bring a makeup brush or other type brush to dust off pencil crumbs.
