TV alert, ya might want to check this out

Well, we went west for the weekend, about 110 miles, across I 94 from Jackson Michigan to Kalamazoo Michigan. Some of the worst roads, we had such a bad case of surging (not porpose action, not side to side) you could not believe it. I actually got sick to my stomach on the way over.

Had a nice weekend, but had to drive back the same route. Actually east bound was not quite as bad as west bound.

This AM while Al was waiting for me to get ready to leave the house he was in the 5er getting something to take with us. He needed to get into the cabinet over the 25 inch TV in the front room. He leaned against the TV and can you imagine his surprise when he felt it MOVE!!??!!

He discovered that the top two screws holding the TV in have been sheared off!!

We figure about one more really good hard right turn and the TV would have broken the remaining two screws (from the bottom) and we would have had broken glass and electronics everywhere, and who knows how much damage to the cabinetry, slides, walls, etc etc etc.

So, ya might want to check out how stable your TV really is.

We have not started the process to repair. We cannot take the unit to the dealer (even tho warranty time has 11 months to run), cause we cannot GET it there without taking the TV out, or risk losing it all together. We will let you all know what we find when we start the job.

Has anyone else had any thing like this happen????
