Refrig Setting
Help me out here. My slide bar on the fins for controlling temp got moved. Which way is cold and which way is warmer? I have read my "detailed" instructions on the Dometic model rm2862rb a couple of times and I have found how to install every screw but not a thing on how to control the temp.

The easy way, if there is such a thing, to remember it is that warmer air rises to the top of the fridge. The thermistor "turns on" the cooling of the refrigerator when the temperature reaches its threshhold. So, putting it up in warmer air causes it to start cooling sooner. Well, it's easier to remember once the concept is understood than it sounds from what I just wrote.

You have to understand that Steve being one of those ex navy petty officers tend to talk in technical terms that a lot of times goes over us ex army guys heads.

Yeah, but Jack was not only a Chief Petty Officer, he was a Senior Chief Petty Officer! Those of the permanently hooked fingers... Jack, I like your method and am going to remember that one. Kind of like our door lock -- left on leaving, right on return.

Steve,
I can't take credit for that memory tool. Bingo posted it on another thread, but it certainly did stick with me. I like your memory tool for the door lock though and I should be able to remember that one too .
r,
Jack (still holding my coffee mug)

Bingo cannot take credit for it either. Learned it on the forum a couple of years ago (unfortunately, I can't remember who it was to give the credit to?), and like others, it has stuck with me ever since.
