Newbie!
Hi, I'm new to the forum. Heard about MOC from another member. Glad to have found you! I have a 1999 3255RL in Great shape! I have a question about electric loads.
I'm in a campground running off 30 AMP service. If my A/C kicks in at the same time as my hot water heater, the outside breaker (box) trips. I'm in Florida, so it's humid and hot. The A/C runs all afternoon set at 84 degrees. I have a single A/C unit. Wondering if the campground just needs to replace the breaker? or is the breaker overloaded? Thanks.
Glad to be here!

Lets see here. The A/C is on a 20 amp breaker and the WH is on at least a 15 amp one. Add in the other small loads and assuming the converter hasn't kicked in for another 10 amps, you have exceeded the 30 amp capacity of the shore power breaker.
When on 30 amp and A/C is desired you have to run the Refer and WH on Propane.
P.S. Welcome to the MOC!

Welcome to the forum! As Carl says, 30amp will really limit what you can do if you run an AC unit. Your RV fridge, water heater, converter alone will use most of the power you have.

What's confusing is that a 50 amp rig plugged into a 50 amp pedestal actually has two 50 amp circuits to run things from, whereas a 30 amp rig only has 30 amps.
