Front Fan on a 3820 FK
Hi my front fan on my 3820 FK blows in versus blowing air out the rig. Is that normal and if not can you change the polarity of the blower motor? You can't change the fan it's just running the wrong direction. Blowing in hot air is not ideal.

It looks like the fan blade is held onto the shaft by a set screw.
Any chance they assembled it upside down?
Can you could turn the blade over?

Or if they connected the wires backwards, wouldn't the fan run backwards? Is it as simple as disconnecting the wires and switching the connections?

What brand fan?? I have MaxxAir fans and two of the three have provisions on the control to reverse the direction. During the day when Hot I run them blowing the hot air out, in the evening when/if it cools down I reverse them to draw in the cool air.

I did that I turned it upside down and it still pushed air in the fan needs to rotate the oposite way and I am not sure if I can safely change the positive and negative to get it to turn the other way. Thanks

If its a 12 volt motor reversing the polarity should reverse the direction.

HI I tried that and it blows the same way inward. Called Maxxfan and they said you can reverse the wires on the fan so it rotates the oposite direction. However, they said Montana did this for a reason and I should talk to them. So I am trying to find out how other's fans work blows in or out?
Thanks

For my fan I use the remote control to change the in/out but if you can't find the remote, there are controls on the fan, you just need a ladder to reach them.

I have the same trailer and mine blows out. The control does not have a setting to change the direction. If you are not the original owner, this model had an issue where the fan would fault the fridge when you turn it on because there was too much draw on the circuit. There is another thread that describes this and how to fix it. (I haven't fixed mine yet, I just don't turn on that fan).
