Carl, AFAIK the only difference is the diameter. They offer both in potable water versions. I have a black/gray zero G 50' that is not potable. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be any difference.

On the fourth year with the same 25 foot (as well as a yet unused 50') Zero-G hose - which is their 'standard' gray, not blue which I've only heard about, never seen. Ours is rated 5/8" and is for potable water use. I also carry that coiled anaconda called a Camco 5/8 water hose as a JIC spare but it is virtually impossible to roll up tightly if the temp is below 65F.

I leave my regular RV water hose coiled up just uncoiling the length needed to get from spigot to RV. Will the Super G stayed coiled once water pressure is applied?

Yes it will. I do it all the time. You may have to straighten out a kink or two once the hose is under pressure.

I'm going to say 'no, you do not need the blue one'. Three simple words that businesses apply to their products or services. "Marketing, marketing, marketing".

Another vote for the Zero G. Have a Zero G for non-potable water. We already have the Campco white hose for potable water so will use it until it needs replacing, but when the time comes it’ll be the Zero G for drinking water.

I endorse the expandable hoses! I seldom use full hookups, instead I carry 4 50 foot lengths of the expandable from Sams club. I also carry a short "white" hose in case I hook up. When dry camping, nothing is more important to me than water, so I like to be able to fill my tank from far off spigots when possible...

Thanks for your quick response. I'm going to give it a try.

We use Zero-G on our boat and have had two leaks. One - the hose failed while connected to city water at the dock (our boat's city water inlet has pressure regulator built in so the hose was under full city pressure). The hose blew up and burst (this was the first generation Zero-G).

The second leak was when Beth was out on our dock washing the boat when some guy fishing from his boat just off our pier managed to hook our hose up on the dock (he did pay for the hose), certainly no fault of the hose. A conventional hose might not have been as easy to snag. I'm sure he tells about the 50 footer that got away...

We still use and like them. However, we use a conventional hose for our city water connection on our Monty. I do carry a Zero-G for other duties. I just ordered a Camco Evoflex 25' to use for most of our city water connection work. We'll see how well that works.

They are the same. If there’s a price difference, buy the cheaper one.
