2010 Montana 3400RL Bedroom Slide Leak
With very hard wind and rain, my carpeting along the entire back wall of my bedroom gets soaked. The carpeting inside the wardrobe closet and along both sides of the bed (along the back wall) get wet. I've checked the slide seals on the outside and everything looks correct. Anyone else experience this? If so, any recommendations I can try? In case the rain has been coming through the window (from the weep holes) I have covered the window now with clear plastic. I don't open the window anyway so don't care if it's covered. I would appreciate any advise on this subject...thanks!

Check on the outside of the slide wall. I believe there will be a square on each corner. Remove those a d check if there is any silicone. Make sure to place new silicone caulk before reinstalling. Also check under the rubber wipers that the slide has closed tight. Check along the top of the slide for any cracks, breaks in the rubber roof. Recaulk along the edges of roof as needed. Hope some of this helps.

Yep like Bw2 said go outside and reseal along the bottom 1 inch wide long strip on the Bedroom slide and the square on the end of the slide ,my old 2012 3402rl did that for awile and could not figure it out then I looked real close at the bottom "molding"strip and saw they missed caulking it in some places,a little missed caulking is all it takes in a rain storm to make the side of the bed and the closet carpet wet..Good Luck

on the outside of the slide, check the strips running parallel to the ground from the outside to the inside. Screws vibrate loose and caulking can fail.

We've recaulked ours all the way across from square to square twice and it solved the problem both times for about three years and 20,000 miles then we had to do it again.

This is where mine was leaking. No loose screws, but caulking had failed. Easy fix.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions....looks like I need to check the exterior of the slide and re-caulk if necessary. I will post an update after the first hard rain to see if the problem is fixed!

Also go up on the roof and see if the caulking on the top of the slideout has deteriorated or has spaces that have let go. Water has a funny way of running down the walls to the base of the slideout. Also check the caulking around the windows. We had a leak on our past unit and it was because the caulking round the windows had given up the ghost. I re-caulked around then and problem stopped.

That would be possible on the top, but the top is seldom the problem.
