We've been full timers for about 3 months and moving onto our new chunk of property Dec. 30 for more full timer occupancy. Hopefully our house will be finished in a year then we won't be complete full timers. If that makes any sense.

Almost Ready to Full Time

We recently purchased our Montana and will be full timing beginning Jan 30, 2022. It'll be me, my wife, my 70-year old son and 2 dogs. Very excited for this new adventure.

We're having the interior remodeled in Las Vegas and we'll be picking it up Jan 30, mosey on back to Baton Rouge, LA and live in it here while we sell our house, then we're off.

Haha - Good old Typo. 7-year old son. I was thinking Hmmm... I turn 50 in a couple weeks... I'm not that old.

Jason, it was a test and you passed. If you don’t have a sense of humor you won’t enjoy camping. Best of luck with your new Montana.

Full timer

My wife and I work on the road and are full time in RV again. We purchased a 2019 3730FL Montana, the last time I lived in a RV full time I had 1995 hitch hiker, never had as many problems with it , this Montana has serious quality control issues, would not buy one again. Very FRUSTRATED

Hitch Hiker was a good heavy unit. Problem being all mfg's use the same components. Some use higher quality trim, cabinets etc. hitch hiker is no more, probably because of mfg cost and necessary higher prices. I think you need to do a lengthy inspection before ever laeaving dealership. And resign yourself to becomming a handy person of sorts. It is a learning experience.

We have been FT for almost four months in a 2021 we bought in March. We really love it, but seem to be having some electrical glitches in our trailer. Motion sensor lights will pop on at same time at random times with no motion; with 3 dots on battery, fridge will alert and jacks have trouble. We plan on doing lots of boondocking and have two solar panels, so this is disconcerting.

You really should start a new Thread for your issues. This Thread is to identify Full Time members and the folks that can help answer your concerns probably ski[ over this Thread.

I am a few months into full time living in my 2006 370RL in the Ocala Forest area of Florida. Sold my doublewide in a rental park in November2021 (get this, for double what I paid for it! Who says you can't build equity with mobile homes?!?!)

Between YouTube and MOC I have been able to understand these 5th wheels pretty well, but there are still some mysteries to solve in other forums. My Montana rests in the front yard of my GF's recently bought property with an old 1976 12x62 mobile home that needs much restoration work. She actually got an offer on her double wide last night and will be closing in March, and then she will occupy my Montana while we fix up her singlewide here.

This is an experiment / adventure in tiny home living. Will I be living like this 5 years from now? Who knows? Who cares? The earth could be hit by a comet before then. For now I am starting to feel this becoming normal, which is great. Aside from dealing with RV issues, I find the most problematic quality of this life is what to do with all the STUFF we tend to accumulate, that I now pay $100/month to store a couple miles down the road. Can anyone tell me what I did with my ROKU?? I cannot find my ROKU!!! (1st world problems)

Full Time and Loving It

Keith and Kim Varnado here. We've been full timers since October 2021. I rate full timing a definite 10.

Been fulltiming in the 2017 Montana since mid-November while we rebuild from a house fire last summer. Winter was a challenge, but to be honest, not as hard as I thought it would be. Have a few issues I either had to address or still do, but overall, we’re happy with rv.

Been full timing since November 2020, was only supposed to be for about a year but I have enjoyed it so much I don’t see any end in sight. I love the freedom it gives me, I tend to average two trips a month. Love it.

Connie & I are still in our rookie year. I like the life style a lot, Connie a little less. We made a 2 month trek throughout Florida in January & February (Destin, Ocala, Key West & St Augustine. We are set to make a big loop North & West starting June 15 through September 1. (Dallas, KC, Field of Dreams, Sioux Falls, Spearfish, Yellowstone, Glacier, Jackson Hole, Salt Lake, Moab, S Rim Grand Canyon and back to Georgetown, TX. We "home base" at Stone Oak Ranch outside Georgetown, TX, it's between our kids and grandkids.
If our Montana 3791 wouldn't have any issues (which is not possible) it would be the best life ever. Having a hard time getting Keystone approvals for some significant issues.
We are considering skipping a winter trip to Florida this for a couple reasons, fuel cost being a big one. Our temperatures are not all that bad in central Texas. Typically we get about 15 days of freezing temps, rarely more than a 2-3 days at a time.
All the best everyone...

Almost, we are -3 and counting

Estate sale end of July, house on the market in early august, Our Realter estimated 3 days to sell based on a neighboring property's recent sale. So by Sept, Oct we will be full timers as well. Yes, its a very stressful time, sorting and packing. Looking forward and dreading it at the same time. But we have been planning for 8 years now, so I think its time! And we wanted to liquidate before the housing market totally tanked.
