Bedroom slide banging
Our bedroom slide makes a bang sound as it closes. I watched the mechanism as it worked and found the cable tensioner collides and catches somewhat on the motor. I’m going to find a way to prevent this as it really stresses the whole system as it overcomes resistance. Any thoughts on correcting this?

Did this just start happening? On a 7 yr old unit my guess is the cables have stretched or the chain skipped (not likely). Doesn't look like there is any more adjustment on those cables

Ya it's an adjustment. The cables may be stretched.

I am guessing the slide was in when the pic was taken. It sure looks like the cable has a lot of slack in it if so. You may need to add a spacer between the nut and the block to tighten it up
*OR*
Replace the cables.

The pic was taken while the slide was nearly all the way in, just before the cable adjuster strikes the motor. The cables are fairly tight in both directions regardless of slide position. The bang has happened as long as I can remember. I can’t figure how the adjuster can clear the motor without colliding.
