New Montana Owners -WV

Greetings all!
We just purchased a new (2022) Montana High Country 295rl. We will be starting a new chapter in our lives July 8 when we put employment in the rear view mirror.

We are very excited about our new rig as it has been 12 years since we last had a fiver (2001 forest river sierra). We just recently sold our class B Sprinter 3500 - it was nice for short trips.

Anyways, we did some research for about 7 months and settled on the Montana. Now I'm looking forward to learning about this RV, mostly the stuff you can only learn from those who own and live in one. Look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome to MOC. Nice to have employment in the rear view mirror headed down the road. Enjoy your new camper. You came to the right place to learn.
We live close to I77 just off of 81 in western Roanoke county.

Welcome to the MOC family! Congratulations on your pending retirement and 295RL. That is a popular model that we're sure you will love. You'll find lots of helpful and friendly folks here when you have questions. Happy camping and safe travels.

Welcome aboard! We’re big fans of employment in the rear view mirror. The 295RL is a nice floor plan. It basically replaced our model, 305RL. We’ve really enjoyed ours. I hope you find yours to be as well built as we’ve found ours.

Best of luck as you approach your last day of work. I’m sure you are counting the days.

Welcome from one 295er to another. Yes a nice floor plan. We love ours. The biggest thing to watch is the bedroom slide. Lots of info here regarding it. Search schwintek slide. My advice is to make sure the trailer is as level as possible before you use the auto level. Other then that it's a great trailer.

Congratulations, we are right there with you. This group and you tube (taken with a grain of bourbon) are your best friend. Lots of amazing information here, specific to Monty's.

Enjoy retirement. I haven't missed anything about work except the people and $$$. LOL With no reason to stay put, go see the wonderful USA (and Canada). Others have traveled more than me, but not many - I am at 140,000 miles and counting. My goal when I started was to see all National Parks. Back then, they were the REAL parks. Now they have added Nat. Monuments, Nat. Historic places, etc and are over 400. There are about 51 or so official Parks. It took us 15 years be we got all 45 or so. There are several we can't make, as the rig can't fly (Alaska) or float (Hawaii and one or more islands).

Can't tell you how many photos we have - over 14000 saved by year.
Enjoy!
