2012 Refrigerator doesn't have power

I just purchased a 2012 3400RL with a refrigerator issue. I'm trying to get it going without calling a tec in. I checked all the fuses in panel box. All good. Outside panel off I found 2 more fuses and they are good. I have power in plug ( ac) and DC also going to one of the small black boxes. All seems to be good but back inside the fridge won't turn on, light up or anything. It acts like it is completely powerless. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for a awesome forum. Im learning all kinds of things

If you have good 12volt at the black box with both fuses in that box verified as good but nothing comes on it is probably the control board.

Hopefully you have the service manual for that fridge. I'm guessing it's a 1210 Norcold like ours. https://www.google.com/search?client...service+manual
Oh, and welcome to the forum!!

We have a 2011 Montana with a Norcold N811 refrigerator. We are having a few issues with ours so I've been doing a lot of investigating as well. We do have power, but it will randomly quit working.

If your light on the switch panel is not work, but you have power to the plug at the fridge I would unplug the fridge then pull the cover off the control box on the back of fridge. There are two screws holding it on. There are two fuses on the circuit board. One is the glass tube style and the other is the blade style. Check both of those. Also be sure all of the plugs and wires to the circuit board are tight/secure. Also look for burnt or broken solder joints on the board.
On the inside to access the back of the switch panel. I had to remove one screws for the cover on the right, then two screws to remove the switch panel. You can make sure the plug to it is tight and check to see if anything on the circuit board looks burnt or broken.

Look on the back of the fridge for the wiring diagram in a plastic pouch. It might give you some ideas where else to check for voltage.

On my previous camper (an Outback Travel Trailer), I had a gas / electric gas absorption refrigerator. It refused to run after coming out of winter storage one year. I was soooooo disappointed. I fiddled with that refrigerator until I was blue in the face. Very disappointed. OK, my patients level is not very long, after running out of ideas, trying non expensive steps, I was frustrated and just swung a hammer at the dang refrigerator. I wasn't very nice to it.

I'll be.... the darn thing started running immediately and ran perfect for another 4 years!

I have no clue what I actually hit with that hammer, I wasn't even looking, I just swung at it with my back turned I was so frustrated.

Amazing, but true.
