IIRC, all the door keys are either the same or there is a very small set. Just ask a few neighbours to try there's, I bet you get it open quick.

There is no locksmiths in Death Valley
Of all the places to be locked out of your Monty - in Death Valley. We tried other Monty camper’s keys in the campground to no avail. Uhmm?? Thought to oneself - how much is it going to cost to pay a locksmith to travel from Las Vegas to Death Valley to unlock an RV door and return to LV? Or shall I smash a window and climb in - which one would be the smallest, cheapest to replace and which one could I squeeze through? Short answer - it’s cheaper to destroy the lock and buy a keyless lock. Highly improbable to leave keys inside and RVlock batteries die. Never a problem now and after one full season, it’s so easy, quick and convenient to lock/unlock the door.

Just had this happen to me 2 weeks ago. My 2 dogs were locked inside along with my phone. Ordered replacement keys from Amazon and have one on every keyring now.

In my case, she was sleeping in while I ran to get breakfast before travelling that day.

We have had a 2001 #2880 for 8 yrs and a now 2010 3000RK and I ALWAYS take my keys with me when leaving the trailer. I guess I'm just lucky for not being locked out.

Went electric. Don’t have to stand in the rain to unlock the door or carry keys.
