Here are pictures of my dryer vent mod on our 2019 Montana 3130RE.

I went ventures because at the time I purchased my Montana we call Keystone and the suggested not to drink a hole.
So I went ventures no problems at all. Hope this helps.

We went with a combo washer/dryer. I did not want to put a whole in our new Montana. Don't want to risk any leak or future problems.



The dryer is OK with these, different, European, and will shrink you clothes if not careful(good if you have no choice), so we got clothes dryer that hangs off of the ladder. It's very handy.


Be prepared to 'shake' the heck out of your 5th wheel.

Had this in RV 4 years no problem and no shaking 5th wheel. VENTLESS works great.

We got better at balancing the wash load and it's not to bad anymore, and I also put 2 24" x 24" foam puzzle squares underneath and it helped quite a bit. I also found that it's best to keep thing off the top of it.

Just make sure you know where the 4" hole is going to be on the outside so that the dryer vent isnt sitting on the seam of the side to front cap. my first pilot hole was 1/2" off . corrected and then drilled. hold that 4" hole saw perfectly at a right angle to the wall or it will run on you. (ask me how i know) lol

Just took mine down to be installed yesterday. We talked about doing it ourselves but when it came down to price, letting them order it and install it was cheaper than I could buy them anywhere else. Also the wife reminded me that would save on the inevitable ER visit.

Recently fitted our 3750FL with a stackable splendide. It was pre plumbed and wired but I think only meant for a combo unit. I had to remove the shelving in the close above to get they to fit when stacked.
The dryer outlet is very tight to the back wall of the closet. It all is. I think I had a 1/4” of space to get them both through the door jambs! I had to stack both, then tilt them out of the closet door and climb on top of the dryer to get the vent on.
The dryer vent, I would have liked to go straight out, but it would have been too low and the only stud in the wall was directly behind it. I just went up and across to make it work. As said previously, start drilling from the inside, then finish from the outside.
We love having them, but now a month in, I have the itch for a new rig entirely!

We just had the stackable splendide installed in our 3855br and we love it. I am very handy doing installs of just about everything. We bought our units at camping world at a great price. I had them install the units and they only charged me $250. It was so well worth it. They did while we waited. I save myself at least $250 of anxiety and grief.
You may want to check into that.

I just finished the install of our Splendide 2100xc today. Washer prep option is a joke in our trailer. The base from the factory consists of a spindly soft wood framework. Some of which is screwed into thin paneling. Anyway, I made a water proofed wood base/drain pan and mounted it to a sub base (not shown). This base captures the washer's feet thereby eliminating movement in all directions. Then the electrical outlet had to be raised to be able to plug in the washer. A 90 degree plug would still have rubbed on the side of the washer. The vent plumbs straight out to the vent shown with no bends.

Constructing the base was the most time consuming part. I don't see a dealer taking the time to construct a stable base with a drip pan, move electrical connections to prevent rubbing, and space the unit out enough to allow for clearance in the back for maintenance. Anyway, the unit runs smooth and quietly. On to the next project.

I am considering a stackable Splendide Washer/Dryer for my 2019 3932FB, I was wondering if they typically stack one on top of the other (removing the shelf) or does the dryer sit in the shelf. I wish Keystone would provide this type of information.

Yes the shelf comes out, if you get the separate units instead of the combo unit. I did not do it my self, instead I had a shop do it, too much for me to deal with, besides my warranties not worth much as they used to be.

My wife wanted a washer and dryer installed in our 2018 3731FL. While I preferred to keep the pantry space, I also prefer to sleep with both eyes closed. Plus, she has put up with me for 42 years.

I hate to admit it yet having a washer and dryer is nice.

The only issue I have is how in the heck do you keep the filter clean. It's true the pull-out filter catches a lot of lint and is easy to clean. The problem is all the lint that gets stuck in the little vents and bottom of the trap.

I would appreciate suggestions on how to keep it clean without having to remove the unit from the cabinet.

I had a shop install my stackables. I considered doing it myself. I bought all units and all the install accessories and a local shop did the work. They did not install the drip pan - not sure why. They left it inside the camper and i found when i opened up the rig.

Mine has a drip pan but no where for it to go if something really goes wrong. Think I will drill a hole and plumb it out.
