2014 3100RL Living room slides would not move

I have a 2014 3100RL 5th wheel. I was getting ready for spring check out and the living room slides would not move. No movement whatsoever maybe like a fuse is blown someplace. The bedroom slide works okay. The 2 fuses located near the hydraulic pumps are good. Any suggestions on where to check next.

Was that slide disabled at the hydraulic manifold? Some had knobs on them others required an allene wrench I think.

Are you plugged into shore power? Are your batteries low or dead?

I did check that. They are in the correct position.

I found this pic of the front compartment on your unit showing the 50 amp resettable breakers (2 red items). One of those is hooked to your hydraulic pump. Lots of folks here have replaced the 50 amp with an 80 amp resettable breaker. I bought mine on Amazon. Does your unit still have the original 50 amp breakers?

Chech to see if your hydraulic jacks are working.
They use the same dual polarity solenoid and hydraulic pump as the slides.
The power comes through the red 50A self resetting circuit breakers that Mike mentioned.
The control source comes from the level-up control panel.
IF the jacks don't work either, it could be thec50A self resetting circuit breakers. You will need a multimeter to troubleshoot.
OR, jumper the 4 gauge wire from the solenoid directly to the battery versus to the red circuit breaker and try it again.

Download the Lippert NOW app from Google play store. Lots of good info, manuals, TSB, troubleshooting etc.
Lippert also has excellent help desk support.

Do you have the Remote Control System on your rig? That era usually came with one. Even if you don't use (or have) the remote control device, the "brain' can cause this problem. The easiest way to know if you have a Remote System is to look in the front garage on the back wall, more towards the right, and up near the top, for this device. It is the "brain" for the remote system and what the handheld receiver communicates with.

If this "brain " in not there then there is no remote capability. But I am betting it is given your model year.

There are some things you need to know if you have the "brain" even if you don't have the receiver. The "brain" controls both the remote and some of the switches (jacks, slides, awnings, etc.). The "brain" has a fail safe system to prevent you from activating the switches and the remote at one time. This can break and the symptom will be the switch or switches don't work. Never fear, there are Threads here on how to fix that. https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=46515

No Remote System - Then
The hydraulic system seems to work for the jacks, which leads one to believe the problem with the slides then lies with the switch and its circuitry. Ensure you have 12V to the switch and it outputs 12V to the pump relay.

Since the BR slide works, it must be specific to the main slide. I don't think the 2014 models had non-hydraulic slides anywhere yet, right? So all slides are hydraulic. Which really sounds like the switch in the outdoor little panel that turns the individual slides on or off. I have a 13 Mountaineer, and I have all hydraulics so I would surely think a REAL (LOL) Montana would also.

How do I check this switch? I have never move it, so it must (?) be dirt of something in the line???

This is the panel and the switches for your living room slides. I think DS means “door side” and ODS means opposite door side.

After the bedroom slide extends, does the pump motor stop running? Keep running but sound changes as if it is struggling or lugging down? Or keep running with no change in sound?

Is the bedroom slide hydraulic? I suspect it is a cable driven one.

So apparently they started cables in 2014 or so. Guess I got lucky with my 13! I have rarely heard a problem with hydraulic, but a LOT with cables or Schwintek.

Curiosity question, since all my slides were hydraulic. Do the hydraulic living area slides wait until the bedroom cable slide fully extends before they start to move? (Considering the amps required to drive the hydraulic pump this would seem logical) And if so, what signals that sequence to occur? Especially since TenOC says “no brain”.

My 2012Montana 3700RL Big Sky has cable slides in the bedroom and hydraulic slides (and jacks) for all the other openings (two of them). They are independent of each other. I guess you could try to run both at once but we have never tried. Also the cable bedroom slide is not associated with the remote control system. Obviously all the hydraulics (slides and jacks) are controlled by the "brain" along with awning and scare lights.
