Kitchen slide rubs on floor when retracted

When I retract the kitchen slide, about halfway to three quarters in, the side nearest the door leans forward and rubs on the floor. For those that have experienced this problem or have some knowledge maybe could point me in the right direction. Should I look at the wear bar? It is covered by weather stripping but have not removed it because the ends of it looks to run into the trailer. I have viewed some videos installing rollers if that is the solution. Are the slide cables supposed to hold the slide up? Videos on cable adjustments indicate my trailer tensions are within tolerances. The slide moves in and out smoothly. Thanks for any help offered

Use Slide slickers.
https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-13499...lide+sl&sr=8-1
Make your own. Home depot, Lowe's, Menards. $2 each.
https://www.menards.com/main/floorin...4445975391.htm
Cut it in half, cut off the curved part. Now you have two 4"x24".
Place them at each end and in the middle of the slide on the floor.
Even if you do not now have issues with this I strongly recommend using these on any slides to prevent it from happening to you. It's just a matter of time. One staple, nail or piece of grit and it will damage your floor.
Always sweep or vacuum your floor before retracting the slide.

Lippert has some YouTube videos showing how to adjust your slides.
Instructions are also in the Lippert NOW app.
Download the Lippert NOW app from Google play store. Lots of good info, manuals, TSB, troubleshooting etc.
Lippert also has excellent help desk support.

Thanks for the input. After further research, I have a Norcol slide and spoke with their rep. The issue may be the floor. It has a slight crown running the length of the slide. When it gets over the hump it tilts forward onto the floor. It is something I will have to take up with the company. Temporary fix was to remove the corner block of the slide allowing it to move without running on the floor. Will look at putting slides under it. I had previously put them under the rollers of the other slides. They work great. Thanks

Tom - you might also try searching the forum for threads related to "cable slide adjustments" or "cable slides". I don't remember many folks referring to them as "BAL Norco slide adjustments"...technically that is correct description...but try looking for cable slide experiences.

I have the exact same problem. Kitchen floor is not level. When slide goes over the apex, it tilts downward.

The floor dropped on the outer side because of weight of the slide bouncing on the slide wear bar when traveling down the road. Keystone was aware of this issue since they added support brackets to the floor that extends over the frame.

Unfortunately, both of my brackets failed, thus allowing the floor to sag. Once the floor sags, you can't straighten it. I fabricated some supports out of scrap 1 inch steel square tube to prevent further sagging. Note that the factory brackets are not attached to the floor, just to the frame I Beam.

We had the same issue. Took it back to dealer. After checking it with them we found a staple was dragging when slide tilted in when retracting. Seems to be better now.

.
Hblick48, Thanks for your post with photos.

My 2019 Montana has an excessive crown / crest where the floor slants outward from the frame rail that causes the slide to damage the floor when extended or retracted. I raised this issue with Keystone within 5 months of ownership and have always believe it is a structural issue. Your experience reinforces and pictures reinforces this. Initially support said the floor was within spec.

The crown / crest has become more pronounced in the past couple of years causing multiple gouges on the floor. I went back to Keystone Owner Experience and was told all warrantee claims must go through a dealer. I am in that process now and hope I can get some support.

Not afraid of DIYing these , so the question is which did you use... the premade or the DIY ones?

I use the ones I made. Part of our checklist before we pull in the kitchen slide.
DW just noticed some rubbing on the floor in front of the TV on the living room slide. I'll have to make some more sliders for that slide.

How did this turn out for you. I'm having a similar issue right now and wanted to see how your situation turned out. Thanks.

The folks at Grneral RV Birch Run documented the floor and submitted it to Keystone for warrantee consideration. Keystone determined that the floor is within specifications.
The dealer also found the tip of a screw extending through the slide floor. That was responsible for one of the floor scratches. They removed that and repaired the bottom of the slide. They adjusted the slide room up a bit. No new scrapes or other marks on the floor since then. I've learned to live with the "wavey" floor.
