Put an eye on fresh water tank sensors
I had to replace a guy's fresh water tank since it had a crack radiating outward from a fitting boss on the suction line of the tank. I thought I would post a photo or two of a cutaway of what your infamous sensors look like inside a water tank since few owners would have this opportunity to see inside a tank. This is a @60 gallon plastic tank and is shy of 3/16" thick. The tape measure is for size reference.

Thanks, interesting view. Makes me feel even better about my external sensors.

Hi
That is a perfect example as to why the sensors don’t work correctly.
The common and 1/3 sensors are supposed to be 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the tank.
The tanks I have changes the location of the common and 1/3 probe on work correctly and don’t need cleaning very often.

PS: Mr. Holms was advised of the incorrect insulation procedure 4 years ago and they are still doing it wrong.

Where does one get access to the sensors and how you you replace them?

Next time you have a question, you might create your own thread because this one is 7 years old. You have to drop the belly pan to gain access to the tanks. You could try cutting a three-sided door, but you would have to know pretty much exactly where to cut. Loosen the outer nut to remove the wire, loosen the inner nut to remove the sensor. All this being said, most of us seldom rely on the sensors because they are notorious for faulty readings. We just get used to knowing about how long we can go before the tanks are full. The freshwater tank sensors do usually work correctly however.
