magnetic pads for Level Up legs?

Took my 3400RL in to Southwest Wheel here in San Antonio to troubleshoot/fix one of the legs on my Level Up (they installed it) last week. Owner, who has become a good friend, told me he saw a trailer recently that had pads for the leveling system that attached to the legs magnetically. He did not know of a source. I have not been able to find such on line. Anyone seen pads like this? TIA.

This is just one of many advertised sites for Andersen Jack Pads.
https://www.suspensionconnection.com...SABEgJPUfD_BwE
They come off while in transit and need to be stored somewhere.
Do they work, yes, do I have them, no.

He might be talking about Anderson jack blocks, the ones that look like upside-down red buckets. They are, or at least some of them are magnetic

I was really excited when I first saw them only to discover that the magnets fall out and that they crack and collapse. Do your homework before you purchase. How crappy would it be to have one crack and collapse while setup? At least the flat lego style won't collapse.

I have 6 of the Anderson "buckets". Love them. Decreases the jack stroke needed and therefore improves stability and jiggle. I think the comment about cracking and collapsing refers to the first generation of the product. Newer ones are more robust. I did have one magnet pop off due to a over torqued attachment screw. Called Anderson and they mailed me a complete roll of them at no charge. I have also used the buckets when I repack bearings. They can definitely support the whole weight of the 5th with no issues.
I also have the Anderson Ultimate hitch and that hasn't "folded up" either. I'm always careful not to "just repeat" what I see on the internet without personal experience.

Good to know! I really want them so I think I'll give them a shot!

We used the Anderson buckets on our Raptor 423 and they were great.

I have 6 of the Anderson blocks and they work excellent. Keeps your levelers out of the dirt and elements, which can save your leveler seals from being damaged by grit.

"Keeps your levelers out of the dirt and elements, which can save your leveler seals from being damaged by grit". Splain that to me a little better ... although you don't have to extend the cylinders as much to level up your fiver, you still have to extend them some. The wipers and seals still are exposed only to a lesser stroke.

I think he means that since they are so much higher off the ground, it is less likely that rain will splash sand and dirt up on the exposed ram. I use blocks made from 4x4's and 2x4's that are about 7 1/2" high and that's why in my case. I raised all of my jacks as high as possible because we have a couple of sites that we frequent with a severe slope to get in and out. Jacks would drag if they were not raised.

I use flat, rubber pads that store easily and take up very little room. I'm leary of putting the front weight of my 5er on raised plastic blocks. Heard one too many times about them getting brittle, breaking and the front end collapsing onto the ground.

My understanding is the early version was collapsing. Anderson has upgraded the product. I just purchased a pair to see if I like them and (YES) I do! A one person operation quick and easy! Reducing 8" of landing leg stroke improving the stability of the trailer I could do the same thing with an cut piece of 8x10 lumber. This is so much less redneck Just kidding!

The reason I replied to you was the Ultra Classic in front of the Monty! You're either single or have a really cool wife.

I have an Ultra myself but can't seem to get the 4 of us together...

I guess I'm still too old-school to give up my absolutely free, at no cost, except the use of a chain saw, blocks of wood that came out of a 100 year old barn some 20 years ago. Those suckers are petrified now and more solid than concrete. I paint them different colors every couple years just to keep them looking nice. But they'll last forever, when all the plastic gizmos are long gone. And they cost me nothing, except a trip to my father-in-laws barn to retrieve them. He even let me use his chain saw to cut them. But when all our Montana's are long gone in a junk yard or recycled to a utility shed, those blocks of wood will still be in service by someone.

I also have 2x6, 2x8, and 2x4, used for under the MorRyde steps, to level picnic tables, and raise the tires for really unlevel campsites.

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at them.

I'm the lady of the house and own the Monty. Love my home away from home. My male friend owns the Ultra and he loves my home away from home too. Fortunately I love to ride as much as he loves to camp so it works out great for both of us. We're both widowed so it's all about the company

I agree with this comment. I am on my third year with these and have lifted the wheels right off the ground with no issue. They do provide more stability as you don't extend the jacks as far. I have lost a couple magnets and will contact Anderson for replacements. I originally got them because I had dragged my rear jacks a couple times on steeper inclines, so I raised them a couple holes and have not dragged them since, but was concerned about over extending those jacks so the Aderson blocks was the solution.
