Rear seating for 2955

Hi. We have a 2006 2955 RL. We have changed the rear seat once, but are now looking for theatre seating or a loveseat recliner that will fit in the back of the rig, and not have to be moved when closing up to move. Has anyone come across such a beast?

We had a '05 2980 RL which is basically the same as yours but with a small slide out and the entry door moved around. The pocket in the rear where the chairs sat was the same size as yours. We just lived with having to move the rear chairs when in transit. We never came across anything smaller to do anything else, but we never tried a jackknife sofa.

Thanks for the reply. We thought maybe we weren’t looking in the right places.

Not cheap, but beautiful furniture. They may have to make one to fit that space. We were looking for a replacement jack knife sofa. They had the one we wanted but it was 4-6 months wait time and we were heading south for the winter.
They do ship. Extra.

Replacement seating

We have a 2001 3255RL, and we are redecorating it to our tastes. We got rid of the swivel rockers and fold out couch and replaced them with a dual recliner theater couch. We took the exact measurements of the back wall (with and without the slide in) to our local furniture stores searching. We finally found exactly what we wanted at Ashley Furniture. It took a while to find the right size, features and comfort, but if the salesperson is interested in a sale, they will run around their store with a tape measure. Make sure the arms of the unit are included in the measurements. Most units are delivered in smaller sections so they will fit through the camper door.

My 2980 had much less distance from the back wall that this picture. I just got a new lazyboy that fits - I think I had 31 inches plus or minus 1/2 or so. I have to rotate the chairs and slide them back. I currently have a Mountaineer 362 that has the same back end. Hard to find chairs that fit.
