Sewer smell
We just bought a 3150 RL Montana 5th wheel on 1/31/2013. We love it but have real problems with sewer smell. We can't tell where it comes from, it's near the steps, under the fridge, in the LR, the underside outside. This morning before we left, we emptied and flushed the black tank, put water and chemicals in. After driving 200 miles the our next RV park we noticed the smell again on the outside and inside. We had not used the toilet at all. It is very frustrating and we actually are planning to call the manufacturer. Something is really wrong. Has anyone has had a similar problem?

do you have some water in the toilet bowl to seal it? do you have a washer option? if so,check that the drain is plugged off

check the water lines going into where the washer would be--they are connected under the bathroom sink. We capped them off since we have no washer.

Paul is correct about the lines. That is a known problem. The drain pipe for the washer on some units were hooked into the black tank by mistake and that will also let gases back into the unit.Inside the basement is a air vent on the holding tank and if it goes bad it will also put smells into the basement which leaks to the outside of the unit as well as under the stairs into your unit.

had the same problem and I could not figure it out somebody here told me to drain the water in the hot and cold washer lines in the closet so I hooked a hose to the connections ran the hose outside and turned on the water let it run outside for a little bit and what do ya know.....NO MORE STINK!!! I would have NEVER thought of doing that until somebody here told me
