Washing Machine Overflow (Wife is culprit)

We ran the washing machine when the grey tank was almost full. This caused the washing machine drain to overflow resulting in water coming out from the fifth wheel hitch area and right front jack. Should we be concerned what potential damage was done inside that area? Don't see any access to that area. (I now know to empty the grey water tank if even contemplating doing laundry!!!).

Scrub forward to about 9:00 to see what's back there. I wouldn't think there was any serious damage done.

It could be a couple things. It could be the washer drain line overflowed and that's where it went out. Or overflowed onto a drain pan that drains to the outside. Or it split the grey tank.

Ours overflowed at one time also, since then I had to pull W/D out to replace a dryer belt, everything I could see looked fine, it just overflowed from the drain for the washer.

Ours overflowed the first time I tried it, dealer put the check valve in wrong or it was defective. The overflow didn't hurt anything, it was 4 years ago.

I had a couple of overflows when I first installed mine because the check valve was stuck shut. Same thing - water dripping out under the nose. No problems so far. You might want to raise the nose a bit and let whatever water might be pooled under there out. I now just leave that gray tank valve open if we are connected to a sewer now.

Washer use

When using washer grey tank for washer drain should always be open no an if's or butts about it. Open Gray Tank. Hopefully no damage was done.

We overflowed ours about 18 months ago and haven't seen a problem. I did put a high flow fan in front of the washer and taped it off with plastic. Then I undid the screws where the front cap attaches to the bottom of the hitch area. I let the fan run for two days to be sure it didn't mold.

Don't feel so bad...................we did it twice. First time was at a park where we did not have a sewer hookup and second time, we did but failed to line up the gray tank to the sewer before operating the washer.
