Washer/Dryer Install

We're in process of getting a washer/dryer combo installed. We are advised to get a drain pan as well under the unit. Can't find any on amazon that have decent reviews. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Might I suggest having one custom made to fit.
I have had pans made out of sheet metal by a local HVAC contractor.

An epoxy based exterior deck paint/coating or something similar to that used on garage floors could be used to create an in place pan. Adding a 3/4” through wall drain would allow unlimited drainage should a larger leak occur.

Splindide makes a drain pan.

They work fine and fit their washer/dryer.

We had a motor home with a combo washer/dryer. I mean it was one unit that did both functions. It beaky held anything and took for ever to complete 1 washer dryer load. I’m not sure what your combo is but I would never buy another of the one we had.

If you had a W/D that was unvented you were doomed to have a negative experience.

We just had a washer /dryer combo installed and was told they automatically secure it and add a drain plug that runs down under the front compartment. I looked under our rig and saw the drain plug. You definately need to ask your service rep for those parts. Our unit is a Contoure 2.7...already ran a load and have to say its pretty quiet and little shake. Hope this helps

I had a unvented one. This advice is exactly right.
They take forever to dry a load.
If you get one “you were doomed from to have a negative experience”.
