There is a place where you can’t run you refrigerator while you are traveling, the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel. You must cut all propane off before you enter the tunnel and they don’t mind checking. They will stop all traffic to chech one camper.

For those of you like us that don't mind loading and unloading the fridge every month or so in the summer ... wad several pages of newspaper up in both freezer and fridge. Works just as well as baking soda and if condensation has been dried out ... you can leave the doors shut. We will leave it loaded if we are headed out again in a few days, but if it's going to be a couple of weeks or so, I have a vision problem about this ... I just can't see leaving it on.

On pretty much all the time ..... Use it all summer & then head for Florida in the late fall and we just leave it all in there. Used to shut it down during winter at same time we winterized the plumbing otherwise it was on from spring to fall. Only real thing to worry about is ensuring its level.......
