Hello from Raleigh
Hello, April and I are new to the group, we are long time campers. Prior military and military brats that grew in in Rapid City, SD. Spent time in Omaha, NE area, the Roanoke, VA. area and now reside in North Carolina. We upgraded to our Montana this past November and love it. Our go to place is Ocean Lakes, in Myrtle Beach.

Also a Raleigh resident
My wife and I also live in Raleigh and are planning a trip to Vero Beach in the spring pulling our MHC. When we return we will take it back to our site at Outdoor World (a Thousand Trails property) near Littleton, NC. The campground is on Lake Gaston. Look forward to meeting you.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your Montana. You have a sweet combination of truck and trailer.
I just completed 2 months in North Carolina as a Camp Host at Pilot Mountain State Park near Mount Airy. I know folks love the beaches, but I certainly hope you explore those mountains. They are absolutely awesome to camp in. Pilot Mountain is all privative, but Stone Mountain has hook-ups. It's an awesome park also. Check out the site lengths though, some are small and tight, and a few will accommodate you.
Anyway, I certain hope you can get around your state. North Carolina has many great state parks, lakes, and recreation areas. Hiking those mountain trails really brings one close to nature! Lake Jordan is a great place too. Check out Cane Creek Campground. It's a county run park near Waxhaw, NC (South and somewhat East of Charlotte, right in that little pocket surrounded by South Carolina.
And don't overlook Grandfather Mountain, Cherokee, and the Ashville area. Every one is fabulous!
Again, Congrats! Happy, Happy North Carolina camping!
