So sorry for this. How horrifying for you both & your furbaby. If you have the time to spend, go a hundred yards from the accident site with a lawn chair. If you can talk between you for awhile, she/he may possibly hear you and reappear. It may take an hour or two.
Good luck with all that your going through. Hope you find yourself furkid.
p.s. did you say what area this occurred in?

Wow, after seeing those pics, it looks like a tornado hit the 5th wheel, and it just imploded! Now I think after seeing those pics, I'm not hunkering down in my 5th wheel if a major storm is coming any where near it!

Wake up call for us all
There is a great app we always check before traveling called “Windy”. Gives you current and predicted wind speeds. In my experience its been very accurate.
Of course, sudden gusts can not always be predicted and life happens. Could happen to any of us.
Another thought.... looks like your truck did a great job protecting you. Class A’s are not as safe as trucks and why we went with a 5er!
Good thoughts to you and your wife and praying for safe return of your kitty.

So that people may learn from your misfortune, how strong were the winds? What relative direction where they from your direction of travel? How fast were you driving? Where did it happen?

If you have Good Sam and replacement value insurance you’ll be in good shape. I totaled our 5th wheel in a snow storm in Wyoming and they paid off excellently. I’ve, personally, not towed since but we have done a lot of RVing. Tell your wife, things will be better and not to be discouraged. Hope you find the cat and all gets better for you.

So sorry to hear this. I'm glad you are okay. I hope you find your cat; everything else is just stuff and can be replaced.

Quick end to trip
Yes we know how quick it can end. Some of you know of our wreck near Plains Texas last October 31 2018. Ours was caused by crude oil coating the highway. I thought we looked bad but yours is worse. Our truck didn’t roll but the trailer was totally broken. We also walked away but our big grey kitty survived too. Our insurance did take good care of us and now we are SOB in Georgetown MH. We really hope your kitty comes back to the scene. Cats are smart, more than folks understand. At least you’re safe and, yes, you can rebuild.

Ya i had checked windy before leaving but the area we went through was an hour outside of carlsbad and conditions had changed drastically as when i had checked there was supposed to be very little wind in the pass. little did i know that was wrong.
Gusts were measured by the parks service in the Guadalupe mountain pass afterwards at upwards of 70+ mph gusts with sustained winds of 30+ and were constantly changing direction and even though i was driving 45 mph it was nowhere near slow enough to stop that rig from going. by the time i seen the trailer going over there was nothing i could do. while we were out there trying to gather as much as we could the wind changed direction probably 3-4 times in just about every direction and i was blown off my feet a couple of times it was that windy. Avoid the Guadalupe mountain pass at all costs if there is any chance of wind. take the long route south to i10 as its much safer.

We're newbies and the wind is terrifying. So sorry this happened to you but, glad you're not badly injured. If you're still trying to find your cat, leave something at the wreck area with your sent or even a small litter box. It may help your fur baby find its way back. Prayers for you guys.

So very sorry but glad you both are okay! Rigs can be replaced. Prayers you will be able to find your kitty. Maybe putting some of his food out in the area would entice him back.

WOW!! Good to hear that everyone is ok. Hope the cat finds its way back home to you all.
We have traveled in a lot of windy conditions. Never ever came close to thinking we would blow over. I would guess some kind of microburst upwards of 75mph+.
Don't get discouraged from doing what you intended to do. I'm sure this was a once in a life time occurrence and will not repeat its self.

Glad you are ok; stuff can be replaced. I've been in serious wind before where I turned the rig into it and stopped; but if it is gusting and changing direction not much you can do.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Praise the Lord you and your wife are ok. As others have suggested, try to 'bait' your kitty back to the site. He/she may return now that things have calmed a bit.
