MaxxAir fan NEW install

I’m thinking of installing a MaxxAir fan in our bathroom. We have a 3931FB, so it would require cutting an opening in the roof.

Has anyone done a similar install? How did you find the location to cut so you didn’t cut through roof supports, AC ducts, wiring, etc. How did you tie into the existing wiring? Did you add a control panel at the wall or use a remote controller?

I searched around but didn’t find anything about the subject.

UPDATE: Would it be easier to use the existing ceiling light/vent opening?
