If wars were run by the military instead of the politicians they wouldn't cost as much or last as long. That was our biggest problem in Vietnam, great song.

Vietnam wasn't the only place that happened, it also happened in Korea and even WWII. It would almost be worth it make military service a prerequisite for running for federal office.

Well I was Drafted in 1967 so I have no problem with Military service being a prerequisite for federal office. Can't really say what I'm thinking but for those who have been there and done that know what its like. GBY....

If they did that with potential bureaucrats there may be more friendly fire incidents.

I hate to say it, but the Army is really getting too PC for my liking. The new Commandant of the Drill Sergeant's Academy is a woman. Nothing against women in the military and I'm sure she is a good soldier, but some jobs should be held by men. My recollection of a DS is a big burly guy, wearing starched fatigues, spit shined boots, a Smokey Bear hat and a look that could melt the North Pole.
Now the Cmdt wears panty hose and a bra...ain't right!

Tom, are you saying she should not wear her pantyhose and her bra? I'm sure she can still do her job just fine and still be able to smack you with her purse! Maybe she got the job because she could melt the South Pole.
Btw - cool link and lyrics, but I'm not sure I cared for the music. The slide show pictures were great!
