We could also ask what brand of air you prefer to put in your tires.

It’s like what brand of aspirin do you think is the best or which of your children do you like.

While we are on the subject, what kind of DEF mileage are you guys getting? I use about a gallon every 450 to 500 miles when pulling, and 2000 miles or so when going solo.

That’s about what we get, solo I go for months with out adding. I add when it gets to 1/2 tank on the gauge and I drive everyday. I put about 500 miles a week on my truck.

I prefer the premium air; it cost a little more but the truck definitely rides better.

I like hydrogen as it keeps weight down.

I guess I am lucky. I think I am getting around 1000 miles a gallon of DEF. Actually it may be better, but I may have forgotten to write down when I fill it a few times.

Ours seems to prefer a mix of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and 1% carbon dioxide, neon and hydrogen. The latter part is less important though.

Just a FYI - It seems DEF is now one of the hot items in lawn care. Its much cheaper than other liquid urea/nitrogen sources and is always recommended on the lawn care forums. It is simply diluted with water for the desired amount of nitrogen and sprayed on. Many people prefer liquid vs pellet fertilizer.

It's use in fertilizer is apparently why China has cut off exports of it.

And speaking of fertilizer it’s has went up over double. What do you think that is going to cause food prices to do?

Just came from Walmart. They had a full pallet of Walmart brand DEF priced at $9.99. I have been buying it for years at $7 something...it even DROPPED by a dollar back in the summer...but this inflation is transitory right???

Heinz just a few days ago said to expect a 20% increase in prices for 2022. New Year’s resolution: lower those expectations ,as mandated.

Thanks that is better than I’ve been hearing from a farmer. His fertilizer bill went from $4000 to over 10. But he hasn’t bought yet. I’ll know when I buy for our hay field later this spring. I’m hoping for the 20%.

Those prices fluctuate constantly. They've gone up and down more than 20% over the past several years.
