kitchen slide not sealing
Our kitchen slide seems to be having a sealing issue only at the front bottom. Other three corners fine and the problem corner looks to be about a half inch from being sealed. What I don't know is if it has been this way since new and we are just noticing it after three years or what. I'm tempted to back off the keeper nut on the ram and loosen the other nut a tad to see if this helps. Am I a fool to try just a small adjustment? John

The lippert owner brochure or go on line. Specific step by step instructions there on how to adjust. Just mark your start point in case you need to regroup. Not hard, just follow each step carefully. I have done it several times.

I will do the lippert sheet before anything for sure. This morning I got out a cover to lay on and counted the valleys in the racks. Front one where I have the gap was 92 showing and back when closed was 91. So I got out my laser measurement tool and indexing it on the slide in line with the bottom of the slide all the way to the trim on the rv wall showed 1' 11" on the front and....you guessed it.....1' 11 1/2" on the rear where there is no gap. I am amazed at how accurate the eye is in detecting minute differences! John

Just for grins, lube the steel extension arms top and sides with dry lube as well. You'll see little round Teflon wear pads inside the rack housing that rub along the extension tubes.

Been awhile since I did a lube job inside the tubes, but can't hurt. When I had the bottom off to install external sensor tank monitor hardware, I was amazed to see the tube within a tube complete with no lube of any kind...just some rust...if you count that. John
