Vibration and noise from forward a/c?
So I have a 2021 High Country 331rl. The front air conditioner is a Dometic Brisk II (non whisper quiet). This unit has always ran fine, but was loud and when looking inside the unit, you could see there was room for improvement. Many YouTube videos about this online. So I finally did the mod and used 1” foam board and ducting metal tape. Flow and cooling increased by a good deal and the best part, it quieted it down significantly!! So significantly in fact, that now I can hear a vibration that I tracked down.
In the past I could always feel this vibration in the camper at night while laying in bed reading. Now with it so hushed it stands out more than I like. I climbed on the roof today and took the shroud off and had a look. I found the source, it’s the yellow circled box in the photo below. It’s shaking and for now I just cut a peace of ever popular pool noodle and wedged (the blue highlighted area below) it between the box and the foam housing. It solves the problem for now, but was hoping someone had the real fix. Does it need new bushings where it connects to the fan motor housing maybe?
Appreciate any advice thoughts or experience you have with this!
