Vent cover for powered vents

2022 Monty HC 295RL Our Maxxair rain sensor powered vents appear to have studs or ?? sticking out above roof but covered in sealant. Hate to start removing factory sealant for now; anybody know what vent cover is needed for the powered vents and if connection to roof is pins or adding nuts to existing studs or should I plan on drilling/adding std brackets?
Thanks
Jack

The vent cover designed for that is quite easy to install. There are tabs on the vent that have holes in them. Like me, you may likely need to remove some of the sealant covering them but that won’t compromise the installation…it’s just excess.

The covers simply slide over those tabs and attach with pins supplied in the cap kit. If you look up a cover for your specific model you will see it. Mine attached in about 5 minutes.

On ours, those studs were just rubber plugs into the mounting holes for the MaxxAir cover. Ours required no drilling or attachment to the roof. Brackets mounted on to the existing holes. Now I will say I installed our 6 years ago, so things may have changed.

They are not cheap, but we went thru a BAD Hail Storm in Florida in April, broke many Vent Covers and Sky Lites and did $11,000.00 damage to our 2021 Chevy Malibu, BUT didn't damage our Vent Covers in the least.
