Refrigerator / Gas
Hoping for some remote help! I have a 2015 38' Montana 5th wheel that I just purchased. My wife is at the 5th wheel - I am 300 miles a way. She called saying the refrigerator was beeping and a code that indicated no flow. I am assuming it didn't have propone. After facing time she found the value that I am assuming switches tanks. Still getting the beeping. Any thoughts? Second tank seems to have propane - the appears to be empty.
Thanks! Sorry for the sparse details - but i really can't see what is going on

If you're referring to the LPG change over regulator it's possible that it failed. It should automatically switch from the empty tank to the full tank. There is a tank selection lever on top of the valve. Have you wife turn it. That should engage the full tank.

Refrigerator
Thanks - I believe she did that (changed the value position) Refrigerator still beeping - perhaps it takes some time to reset the alarm? I guess she could also try turning on the furnace to see if it is heating (indicating the propane is there)
Will keep trying!

Ya it takes a minuet to purge the air. Turn on the stove until it ignites.

If the above fails have her turn the gas off on the bottles and give them a good shake then turn it back on VERY slowly. They have a valve in them that cuts the gas off when the flow is too high, a safety issue.

Ya what he said. The LPG tank valves have a built in check valve so in the event of failure they close stopping the flow of LGP. Opening the valve too fast can cause the check valve to trigger. Normally just closing the valve and then opening it very slowly resets the check valve.

Is the valve open on the tank you switched to?
Did the Red display at the regulator turn Green?
Does the stove top burners light?
All of these conditions being true are indicative there is propane available to the area of the refer.
