Warm water instead of hot

I have a problem with cold water mixing with the hot water resulting in warm water at the tap and shower. The water heater seems to be working well. This is the first time we’ve had this problem. Based on what I saw from previous posts I replaced the check valve on the hot water line in the back of the water heater (I put one on the cold water side too). I still have the problem. I have a 2017 Montana High Country 310. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help...

Is this issue with both Propane and Electric heated water??
Ours turned luke warm only on electric so replaced the T-stat for the electric side and back up to temp.

Yes, both electric and gas. I have replaced the thermostat too.

Here is a diagram one of our members drew.
It looks like the only place the hot and cold could cross would be the bypass valve our the outdoor shower.
Are any faucets warmer/colder than others?

This is very helpful. Thank you. The water temp is the same at all faucets and the shower.

I’ve seen where people will leave the shower faucets turned on and the on off button on the hand held shower turned off. Also same situation with the outside faucet in the convenience center. Both will allow hot and cold to bypass also.

warm water

Thanks for all of your suggestions.

I decided to plumb around the water heater bypass and have hot water again. There was a problem with the valve(s) letting the cold mix with hot water. In addition, I added an old fashioned water heater bypass on the water heater itself.

Thanks again, Rick

If you have only the warm water in your shower it's the manifold for your shower, not a difficult replacement. if you have hot water in the kitchen and bath sinks, and at the outdoor shower, it's the shower manifold.

Warm Water Fix

I had the same problem that you are describing. I went through all the wiring and plumbing and could not find anything wrong even after I replaced the thermostat. I called a very knowledgeable RV tech at the dealership and he said to go outside and turn on the hot water drain valve and let it run until you hear the gas burner fire up. I did that and almost immediately the gas burner started working again. After we had very hot water I turned off the gas part and amazingly the electric was working again, and has ever since. I wish I could tell you the cause of this problem but according to my tech it is not uncommon.

Try changing the mix valve cartridge in the shower or take it out and clean it
FYI be sure to shut the water off first

I had that problem once and it seems that DW had "adjusted" one of the valves in the convenience center for some reason but can't remember which one. Make sure all are in proper position!
