Water Heater removal

I don't know about other models, but mine has the water heater under the 'peninsula' in the kitchen. I can see some of the wires by removing the drawers but not really any access.

So if I wanted to remove this, how do I get at the water lines and the electric lines??? I know (have heard) that you can go outside and remove the cover and actually pull them out but what about the wires/hoses?
Thanks.

In the files section is a Suburban Water Heater Service and Training manual.

https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=56

It shows how they are installed (from the outside).
Yes you would need to be able to get to the back of it to disconnect the wiring and plumbing.

On our HC it's in the part of the island that attaches to the wall and you take some screws out of the end that faces the TV and desk and then remove that whole panel and after that it's not a problem to replace it at all. We replaced with an on demand model.

Thanks DQ. I will look at that the next time I get the rig out of storage.

Water Heater Leak

I have a 2008 Montana that I live in. Been having a leak from the tank. All connections seam good anyway. If I need to replace this one which I am sure has a pin hole or something do I order the exact same one or are there other options ??
Where can I get one?

I purchased our new water heater five years ago from Dyers and it shipped quick. This is what I purchased: https://www.dyersonline.com/suburban...er-heater.html

I only had to buy 1 water heater over the years and my best buy for an exact replacement Suburban at that time (about 2015) was from Amazon with free shipping.

Had to replace ours due to a pin hole leak. Was just outside the warranty period, but Suburban supplied a replacement as "Good Will", but wouldn't cover installation, which was fine as I planned to do the install. Replaced with an exact replacement, 12 Gal, but if I ever have to replace again I'll step up to the 16 Gal as the Face Plate are exact same size just longer and I have tons of space for it.
