Trip Guidance - Cody WY to Jackson Hole?

Hello All,
Looking for input on my next travel day from Cody to Jackson Hole. My GPS says to go through Yellowstone’s lower loop from Fishing Bridge to the SW. First question is since I have a 41’ 5er does that sound like a good route? The other route is 200 miles further. We traveled the SW route a couple times and this is the roughest road we encountered the last week or so, dirt/gravel patches & pot holes.
Any thought from experienced persons on either route?
Thanks in advance. Leaving 7/29/2022
