electric bikes

Thinking about purchasing 2 electric bikes. I am trying yo figure out how to transport them, i don't have a hitch on my 2955rl. Do i need to install a hitch or is there other ways.
also if you have any recommendation to which bikes to purchase

Another way around that is to install a receiver on the front of your truck and transport that way. I see it all the time. You'll want an electric bike rated carrier too. We are transporting our two e-bikes with a Swagman dual bike carrier, which was recommended by the e-bike manufacturer (The Electric Bike Company) in Newport Beach, CA. The electric bikes have been a lot of fun to have on our trips.

We're in the same process. Here is a video on this very subject. Tub storage seems to be very popular.

Just a bit of an FYI..... Contrary to popular belief step thru bikes are not "girls bikes".

I have a 2022 295rl and 2 Lectric ST bikes. Both, I fold, put in tubs, and they fit in the pass-through storage (barely).

We have Magnum classic ii low step folding bikes. They are supposed to have a range of 50 miles, it depends on how much "pedal assist" you want. More pedaling, more milage. They have 500W motors, very powerful. The "Pedal Assist" (PAS) goes from 1-6. We don't go higher than 3. Rarely above 2. They can be very fast if you want to push it all the way. Too much for us.
The folding feature allows them to be folded up and put in the back of the truck forward of the 5th wheel hitch and under the tonneau cover. I put a yoga mat in the truck bed to prevent paint rubbing/chaffing.
With battery removed, they are 55lbs each. Heavy but manageable. We really like the step through feature. Easy on/off without having to swing your leg over. Getting too old for that.
I would have preferred the fat tire bike for going on the beach or off road trails but so far we have not really done any of that so we don't miss that feature (and the additional weight of fat tire bikes - 75lbs).
As they are, the tires are good for off road packed gravel or packed dirt trails. Not so good on loose gravel or sand.
Overall we are very pleased with them.
If you get tired just turn up the PAS.

I would just install a hitch and rack em up. I put a hitch on our old 2955 and no problems. Lock the snot out of them though as they are hot commodities.

We have two fold up electric bikes. When we take them somewhere to ride, we put them in the box of the truck in a rack my husband made out of plumbing pipes. When we are towing, we fold them up and put them in the back seat of the truck. We bought a dog seat cover to protect the upholstery.

Use totes from Walmart. 40 gal. Can store them in a F350 or any truck rear seating area or in the rig wherever you have the room to hold them. That way in the totes they are folded and secure and easy to remove from the storage.

The bikes are Daymak, a Canadian make. They are fat tire fold up bikes, 20” tires. They are similar to Lectric bikes, the U.S. brand.

I bought 2 bikes last year from Lectric. We got the step through foldable ones. They are really nice and cheaper than many others, less than $1000 each. I bought 2 44 gallon plastic totes from Lowes and each bike folds up and fits nicely.
Our unit has the pull out tray in the rear that I call my "garage". The bikes are usually the last thing to go in and the first thing to come out.

We have 2 rad power bikes. Bought swagman racks for rv/ electric bikes. Recommend both. The bikes are heavy so you need a tongue weight for hitch that will hold 300 pounds. The bikes weighs 70 pounds each and the hitch is another 40 or so. Bumper mount will not work is what I understand. Remember the stress of weight on back of camper. Best of luck. Ride Rad! And get out there!!

That’s what I’m afraid of. Somebody hotdogging them. My friend had one in the back of his truck. Went to a bicycle shop to get it worked on. Someone stole while he was at the bike shop. Hers the kicker. His wife was in the truck on her phone & didn’t even notice it gone.

We ended up getting RadMini Step-Thru 2's based heavily on several factors. One of the biggest was these ladies reviews. We do not have them yet but they have been shipped. Ours are coming out of SC via FedEx.

We already bought a lock based on this guys review. If you're locking two bikes I'd get the long one (we did). It's heavy but if you get a bike with a rack it'll be no issue carrying it with you.

We have two e-bikes from Aostirmotor. Would not recommend the brand for their lack of customer service. That being said, I've learned a lot about repairing my own bike. We store one on a heavy duty fat tire bike rack on the back hitch of the camper, and the other disassembled in the pass through storage. On the hitch we also strap the bike to the ladder while on the rack to minimize wobble, and use one of those hitch anti-rattle/wobble u-joints. 11 states and no oopsies yet. I use one as my "daily driver" when my wife has the truck as well as for fun adventures.
