age discrimination

We went looking at several RV parks here in Florida yesterday and we checked at one and when they asked how old we were, we told them 48, they said we were not welcome in their park. It was for only age 55 and older. Then the witch behind the counter asked why anyone would ever retire at 48!! I was so pi**ed off that I looked at her and said, "because I could". We had checked at a lot of 55 plus parks and they all said they would be glad to have us. Anyone else here ever discriminated against like that?? Oh, just so everyone knows, it is "Reflections on Silver Lake" in Avon Park, Fl.
