Model 3780 rl winter leak

Hi my name is John and I’m having a little challenge with a couple of leaks on my Montana 3780 during this last freeze. I’ve already fixed the leak that happened on my water pump behind my water panel but when I turn my water back on I had water shooting out of the semi circle vent at the rear of my fifth wheel any ideas where that leak might be before I tear everything up? Thanks for any help

John,

Is the water coming out of the vent for the fresh water tank? Are you connected to water via a shore connection with a hose or useing your internal pump to use water out of the fresh water tank?

Assuming you are connected to a hose and water is coming out of the fresh water tank vent you either:
-have you tank fill valve in fill and water is overflowing from the fresh water tank or
-the fill valve is in there right position and the check valve in your water pump is bad and is allowing the fresh tank to overfill.

Telling us the year of your 3780 would help. I believe you are referring to the fresh water tank vent. Water flowing out indicated the tank is full. There is a valve in the convenience center that directs the incoming water to either the coach or to fill the fresh water tank.

If you are hooked to an external l water supply and the tank if filling there is likely only two reasons. The valve is set to fill the tank (switch it coach supply where it should be) or the valve has failed (frozen and cracked?).

If you are running off the onboard water pump (which was just replaced?) then I am not sure what is going on. Possibly reversed water line connections? But where would the pump get water to push back into the tanks? Very strange.

Bob Rohrmann has previously posted a diagram of the water system in Montanas. Perhaps a Search will uncover it.

On Edit: I found Bob's diagram. Look for Post #3 in this Thread:
