A small IPC Solar charger, when plugged into the trailer's cigarette light DC power port will keep a charged battery charged. I used to place my charger inside the RV under the skylight and it provided the right amount of juice lost by the propane detector's usage.

I have the heat on low and the water lines drained. I plan to use my trailer over the holidays so I just poured antifreeze into the grease traps of the sinks and drained the hot water tank. After the first of the year I will have a pro winterize Miss Monty.
